Summer Safe Car Parks Commences
Published Friday 02 December 2016
Our Summer Safe Carparks starts this weekend with 8 carparks covered by our dedicated volunteers and a special thanks to Ross Wagner, from the Blue Club, who will be visiting the carparks over the weekends to look in on our volunteers and hand out resources as needed.
As per the photograph published on facebook, we had a good turnout of the coordinators for each volunteer group and a special thanks to each participating group who have taken on the ambassador and guardianship of our 8 high risk carparks in the District.
Summer Safe Carparks Briefing
Published Friday 25 November 2016
We had our 7th Summer Safe Carpark briefing in the Council Chambers last night, which is very heartening and is awesome to see such a strong commitment from our diverse community groups, some of whom are into their 7th year in keeping our high risk carparks safe over the summer period.
I take my hat off to all our volunteers, who selflessly commit their time and resources over the weekends to make Whangarei safer for our visitors.
This programme starts on Saturday 3rd December and goes through to Easter Monday on the 17th April 2017.
Summer Safe Carpark representatives are from:
